Publishing Streaming Media with FileZilla
FileZilla is available through the Application Explorer of any University owned machine under the FTP/Telnet/SSH folder. You can also download it from http://filezilla-project.org/
- Open FileZilla
from Start > All Programs > FileZilla FTP Client - From the default FileZilla window select File > Site Manager to enter host, username and password information for the web server.

- Use the following settings, and replace Username and Password with your University username and password (the same used for AppalNET, email and Novell).

- Upon your first connection to the server, or if you have previously denied the host key, you will be requested to accept a host key fingerprint from the server. Click Always trust this host to accept the certificate and you will not be prompted again.

- Upon successful connection, you will be in your home directory on the server. You should see private_flash and public_flash directories if you have already requested a streaming account.

- Double-click private_flash to open the directory in preparation for uploading media files to integrate with your AsULearn course. If you are publishing files to integrate with a publicly accessible website you will upload to the public_flash directory.

- To upload select the FLV, MP4, or Mp3 file from your local computer and right-click > Upload.

- FileZilla will remember your Site Manager configuration, on subsequent uses you can select the Site Manager icon and choose your www.appstate.edu host from the list.
