Streaming Flash Media
Streaming video and audio has the advantage of not being saved to the user's computer during playback, this helps protect copyrighted material from being used inappropriately. Another advantage is the ability to start watching a video instantaneously and jump to any point with little or no playback delay.
Simply follow these easy steps to get started:
- Step One: Activate your streaming account
You must request an account before you can upload streaming media files to your personal web space.
- Step Two: Encode your media
The streaming server requires your media files be in the Flash Video (flv) format for video and mp3 format for audio.
- Step Three: Integrate your streaming media
Streaming Flash media to your online course is as simple as creating link to the published media in a supported AsULearn resource or activity.
