Only those assigned the role of Teacher will see the Administration block. The following is an overview of all the features in the Administration area:

Turn on Editing: This turns on editing functions for the topic area and blocks (same as Turn editing on button on the upper right of the course site).

Settings: This link provides access to global settings for your course site. Learn how to edit your course settings.

Assign roles: This link allows you to add secondary teachers or observers to your course site. Learn how to assign roles.

Groups: You can setup groups in this area. Learn more about groups.

Backup: You can create a backup of your course by following the provided prompts. Learn how to backup your AsULearn course.

Restore: You can restore a course backup in a new location. Learn how to restore your AsULearn course backup.

Import: The import process is recommended when you have selected content or individual activities in an existing AsULearn course site that you wish to add to another AsULearn course site. Learn how to import content from an existing AsULearn course.

Reports: This link allows you to view access logs for the course site. Learn more about Reports.

Questions: This link provides access to the question database, where you will build or import questions for your quizzes in AsULearn.

Scales: This allows you to create custom scales -- text based comments as compared to points -- to be used in grading. Learn how to setup custom scales.

Files: This link provides access to the file manager for your course site. This is where you will upload resources (such as a Office files, PDF files, html files, images, etc.). For those of you familiar with WebCT, this is analogous to the My-Files area. Learn more about the Files area.

Grades: This link provides access to the online gradebook in AsULearn. Learn more about the Grade Book.
