Who We Are

Learning Technology Services (a division of Information Technology Services) is your resource to expand your understanding and implementation of technology in your role in the ASU community. We provide training for faculty, staff, and administrators for AsULearn (powered by the Moodle learning management system) and a number of desktop computer applications, as well as consultation in instructional design and practices.

Classroom training is conducted throughout the year through workshops publicized by campus e-mail and on this LTS web site. Participants can easily register on line for any of the workshops that are typically held in the 12-seat classroom on the third floor of the Belk Library and Information Commons.

Appointments can be made with an instructor or instructional designer for one-on-one training and consulting. You can also arrange for a training presentation or workshop to be delivered to a small group within your department.

Specific services include:

  • Collaboration in the design of instructional materials and assessment tools
  • Project management for course development
  • Analysis of curriculum and instructional content
  • Consultation and training in classroom technologies and course management systems
  • Recommendations for providing functional, intuitive, and principled instruction
  • Peer review and feedback of classroom effectiveness
  • Assistance with presentation design, including graphics and other media
  • Direction for usability testing, focus groups, and other methods of user feedback
  • Assistance with implementing an online community
